Sir Brandon Lewis CBE

The Right Honourable Sir Brandon Lewis CBE is the former British Member of Parliament for Great Yarmouth and served as Lord Chancellor, Security Minister and Secretary of State for Northern Ireland. He was knighted in the 2023 political honours for public and political service.

Sir Brandon was first elected as MP for Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, in May 2010. He was re-elected in 2015, 2017, and 2019 with increasing majorities. He held various government roles and served as a close adviser to four British Prime Ministers, including Minister of State for Security at the Home Office and Chairman of the Conservative Party. He was appointed to the Privy Council in 2016 and became a CBE in Theresa May’s Resignation Honours List.

He served as Secretary of State for Northern Ireland from 2020 to 2022 and briefly as Secretary of State for Justice and Lord Chancellor under Liz Truss. After Rishi Sunak became Prime Minister, Brandon returned to the backbenches and focused on local issues and chaired the All Party Parliamentary Group for District Councils.

Sir Brandon holds a BSc in Economics and LLB Hons from the University of Buckingham and an LLM in Commercial Law from King’s College London.

Married with two children, he enjoys triathlons, reading, and spending time with his dogs. He has completed the London Marathon twice and raised nearly £20,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support during the 2020 Covid lockdown.

He stepped down from Parliament prior to the 2024 general election. In July 2024, he was appointed Chairman of Millbank, to lead our global team of digital content specialists.
